Download General InfoBoston Mat Hr Sec School, recognized by the Department Of Education, Govt. of TamilNadu, is run by Boston Education & charitable trust. Esteem for truth with an overall harmonious development of the moral, intellectual and physical formation thus rising higher and higher is reflected in the school motto. The school aims at achieving academic proficiency and helps the student to live a life guided by faith in God. It encourages the student to put in hard work and at the same time cultivate the habit of creative thinking. It also trains the students to be responsible citizens through intelligent appreciation of the democratic process and love for the country. Boston prepares the student for the Matric and Higher Secondary school examinations under prescribed courses. The medium of instruction is English, which alone will be used at all times in the school premises. The academic year consists of three terms
AdmissionsFormal admission is completed only after the application from has been duly filled in, registered and considered by the correspondent or the authorities concerned after an interview. An admission card will be issued after payment of all the prescribed fees. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Application forms are valid only for 10 days from the date of purchase. The registration fee and other fees paid after securing admission for the student is non-refundable and non-transferable. If the student has previously attended any school, conduct certificate, transfer certificate, and progress report from the school last attended are to be attached with the application form. The management reserves right of refusing admission or ordering the withdrawal of any student whose conduct is unsatisfactory or who is not profiting by his stay in the school, without assigning any reason. WithdrawalsWhenever a student is withdrawn from the school for any reason whatsoever the whole term fees will be charged. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Application for transfer certificates must be made in the prescribed form by the parents or the guardian. No transfer certificate will be issued unless all the arrears due to the school/trust are paid in full. T.C.s are issued only after 15 days from the date of receipt of the prescribed application form. Duplicate copies of TC's are not normally issued. LeaveThe names of the students who remain absent without a leave letter or any valid reason for a whole week will be struck off the rolls without prior intimation. Those who have been absent on the previous day, must submit a letter of explanation from the parent countersigned by the class teacher. Late ComingGenerally all the students are expected to be on time at the school campus before the morning assemble commences. A fine of Rs.5.00 for classes I through VII and Rs.10.00 for classes IX through XII will be collected from the student who come late to school. Students who are late by more than 15 minutes after the assembly will not be permitted to attend classes. DisciplineStudents must be punctual and should attend classes every day with their lessons well prepared, wearing neat uniforms. School dairy is to be brought to the school daily. Irregular attendance, persistent late coming, habitual idleness, neglect of home work, disobedience and disrespect to wards members of the faculty, or bad moral influence, justify dismissal. Students who are out of uniform or who have failed to bring books to the class or to get the parents' signature regarding the remarks of the teacher in the dairy, will be asked to go home. Students on their way to and from the school are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner. It is forbidden to write or scribble on walls or desk, throw paper or spill ink around the classrooms, play games in any way that would cause damage to school property. Parents or escorts who come for the students are requested not to enter the classrooms until the bell is rung for lunch as well as during the end of the day. Students are requested not to wear any costly Jewelry or bring any expensive items to the school. The management will not be responsible for the loss of such property. Parents are expected to co-operate in the normal working of the school, in particular by enforcing regularity and discipline, evincing keen interest in their child's progress and extending fullest encouragement in their child's extracurricular activities. Students will be provided with an identity card that should be pinned onto the uniform daily. ExaminationsThere are three terminal examinations held during the academic year apart from the weekly and monthly tests conducted regularly. Hall-tickets will not be issues to students under any circumstance, who are in the default of the payment of the prescribed fees or any other arrears. Students absenting themselves from any of the school tests or exams will be considered as having failed. Exam schedules and the syllabus for tests and exams will be notified at the appropriate time.
